In 2019 we relocated a house onto our section. Around the house was a grassy paddock. We soon got to landscaping and planting. Being part of the landscaping and gardening and taking the kids on lots of bush walks which of course go at their pace allowed lots of time for observation have led me to notice and learn about many more native plants. Hence the bush in the foreground was inspired by the garden around our outdoor bath and the beach scene beyond has the feeling of emerging from the nikau grove onto New Chums Beach although there’s no landmarks to give it away.
