Frequently Asked Questions

Do the prints come on canvas?

Yes, but there are also paper prints. Most of my prints are limited edition prints and are printed on high quality digital canvas. They come with a 10cm white border around them. There are a handful of Coromandel landscapes that are printed on paper.

The Native NZ Alphabet come as stickers.

Will you do more prints once the limited edition finishes?

No. I like that my work is unique. I want everyone that buys a piece of my work to know they are very unlikely to see that same image anywhere else.

How do I frame a print?

You can take your limited edition print to a framer who will give you all the options of mat board, frames and glass or you can have it stretched if it is a canvas print. I stretch all my own originals and can stretch prints as well. If you’d like your print stretched click on the last item on the ‘canvas prints’ page, calculate the size and add it to your order. If you have any problems with this just send me an email and we can work it out from there.

Why can’t I buy an original from your website?

I’ve kept my originals out of my shop so if you are interested you do need to email me. I’ve found with originals there is generally more questions and things that need to be discussed. I also think they deserve a more personal approach.

Can I get your work posted to me?

Yes. I can post paintings or prints almost anywhere. For stretched prints or original paintings I sandwich them between two sheets of MDF then wrap them securely in a box. For loose prints the safest and most economical way is in a tube. If you purchase a piece of my work the postage will be calculated at checkout. If you are wanting to send anything overseas you will need to send me an email and I’ll let you know as each country is different and has their individual rules.

Why are there no prices or sizes on your website?

There is however some screen shapes don’t show it. (My web design skills have improved massively over the years but this is an issue I’m yet to solve. Luckily it doesn’t effect too many devices). You should be able to see everything you need to know next to the image but if not try using a smart phone or a different device. Or send me an email with your query.
